Producer Boney Kapoor has revealed that he and brother Anil Kapoor are not on talking terms after the latter was removed from No Entry sequel.

Anil Kapoor is upset with his elder brother and producer Boney Kapoor over No Entry sequel casting. The original film starred Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu and Celina Jaitly. Boney Kapoor has revealed that Anil wanted to be a part of the sequel, but unfortunately, there was “no space”.

Anil is not talking to his brother properly ever since the news about the No Entry 2 casting leaked online. Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor are reported to be the new leads in the sequel of No Entry. “Before I could tell my brother Anil about the No Entry sequel and the cast involved, he got angry as the news was already leaked. It was unfortunate that it was leaked. I know he wanted to be a part of the No Entry sequel, but there was no space. I wanted to explain why I did what I did,” Boney told Zoom in an interview.

Explaining the reason behind casting Varun, Arjun and Diljit in the movie, Boney revealed, “Varun and Arjun are great friends. Their chemistry could come out in the story, and Diljit is massive today. He has a great fan following. I wanted to make it relevant in today’s time. That’s why I did this casting.”

He continued, “In the process, my brother is still not talking properly. I hope it all gets sorted out soon. Let’s see.”

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the sequel of No Entry will go on floors in December 2024 and have a big theatrical release in 2025, marking 20 years of the original film.

Boney Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his production Maidaan, which stars Ajay Devgn. At its trailer launch event, Boney expressed his happiness that the film was finally getting a release after multiple delays due to Covid-19 pandemic. “We were in the midst of a crisis that the entire world was facing. During the lockdown, we had our sets standing in Madh for around three and a half years. When we would get a window to shoot, we had all the players and technicians coming from all over the world. They would land here, shoot a match for maybe eight-ten days and there would be a lockdown again. This happened to us thrice,” he said.

Maidaan will be released on April 10.
